An explosion at a Shell Service Station in Utah nearly cost Ken Garff his life, yet it catapulted him into the car business. Ken was an attendant at the station and had walked out the doorway to help a customer at the pump when the building exploded behind him. Shell began reconstructing the building, but Ken was left with little to do. Thus, he began to sell used cars to keep himself occupied. When Shell completed their building they gave Ken an ultimatum, ?If you want to keep working for us, you need to stop selling cars.? Too late. Ken had discovered the car business and was not turning around.
